7.1 Definitions
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs): This is a part of quality assurance which ensures that products are manufactured in a consistent manner and controlled to quality standards appropriate to their use.
Process: It is a set of interrelated operations that transform inputs to intended outputs adding value.
Quality assurance: It is the organisation of all activities necessary to ensure that products are of the quality required for their intended use.
Quality control: It is the performance of necessary and relevant tests to ensure that products are released for use only after ascertaining their quality.
