Abstract
Extensive use of high-end industrial properties is the current paradigm shift as an essence to Industry 4.0. The life cycle assessment in tandem is the prerequisite for such automated systems in order to optimize the return on this significant investment. To achieve results without human intervention Internet of Things (IoT) assists by sharing of data to the network of interconnected devices. Miniaturization in sensors and extensive storage space the data gets collected. Using unmatched computing power and predictive maintenance algorithms the real time data is analysed. The present study and its results reflect an idea of advanced communication and control in an automotive domain by reliably estimating the remaining useful life of equipment within predefined probability limits. One of the prerequisites in order to carryout predictive maintenance is to accurately define the signal. The initial challenge in defining an IoT signal to monitor the machine’s current condition is seen to overcome. Further works includes pre-processing the sensor data besides degradation modelling. Performance results show the advantages and benefits of the approach by assessing the extent of the system’s degradation from its expected normal operating conditions. In particular, predictive maintenance and industrial IoT discuss the identification of irregularities ...
