Abstract

Due to the rapid growth of the IoT, social media, digitization, wireless communication technology and the use of internet in various sectors the volume of data is increasing very rapidly. To handle the data storage and to facilitate the processing capacity, cloud computing is an emerging solution. Currently many service providers are providing service. In this chapter, a constrained multi-criteria federated cloud provider selection strategy mathematical model is proposed. Three meta-heuristics algorithms (Bird Swarm Algorithm, TLBO, Jaya) were discussed and implemented to solve and verify the validity of the model, and a suppositious case study is used to compare the model performance. For the comparison, robust design method of Taguchi’s was used for selecting the algorithm parameters, feasible solution is rendered by analytic hierarchy process (AHP), a widely used technique for solving the problem of cloud provider selection in a federated cloud. ...
