Abstract

This chapter introduces the use of a conducting polymer coating with a superhydrophobic effect as an effective anticorrosion coating. The chapter begins by introducing the current approaches to preventing corrosion. It then focuses the discussion on the use of conducting polymers as anticorrosion coatings, including the protection mechanism and a short review of current research.
