Abstract

Increase in the demands for services with the cloud including mass data analysis and e-commerce online are all leading to the exponential growth of a bigger scale of internet data centers that are attached with monitoring sensors purposely to monitor the states of infrastructure that may include storage arrays, servers, computer room air conditions, servers and networking arrays which brings about cost-effective, reliable and quality services within cloud parameters. Nevertheless, these practices involved are unable to provide a solid true time source that will help with job scheduling or multiplexing as presumed. Henceforth, optimizing energy efficiency and workload placement the monitoring depends on the level of energy consumptions node in data centers. This paper will elaborate on the platform of edge computing paving the way towards an intelligent system of data monitoring within data centers. The integration of this platform will use the eligibility of data sensors as well as the built-in onboard sensors that will cater to the operational data and maintenance data centers.
