Abstract
Warehouse is a segment of working strata of the products, where they are stored before being delivered to the consumers. The inventories in warehouse mainly depend on the supply and demand of the product. In this paper were have tried to identify the critical challenges faced by a warehouse of an Indian consumer electrical company towards smart manufacturing. The methodology used to analyze the challenges scenario of warehouse is ISM (Interpretive Structural Modelling). The challenging factors collected were through 32 supply chain expertise of the case company. Findings show that the ‘lack of automation’ needs attention in the long term focus factor, where as ‘Defective Materials from Both Ends,’ ‘Gap Between Supply and Demand,’ ‘Multiple Price Revision,’ and ‘Manpower Balancing Between Pick and off ’ stand the short term impact.
