Abstract

Service oriented architectures (SOAs) are developing more and more towards a fundamental pattern of information architectures within enterprises. The vision of loose coupling of coarse-grained components, dynamic interoperation of services with each other and semantic message routing over an enterprise service bus is particularly interesting for manufacturing enterprises that are following the approach of holonic production control.
