The cases we have considered so far have examined usefulness for complex problem solving in two distinct types of human-computer systems of work: Centrally scheduled systems and information service systems. In the first type, problem solving software for information technology (IT) troubleshooting and the troubleshooters themselves are part of the complex infrastructure in which problems reside.
