Description and Purpose

Know-Wonder-Learned (K-W-L) involves creating a chart to help students think about out-of-class reading or other assignments prior to coming to a class. Before starting an assignment, students complete the Know portion of the chart, indicating what they already know about the topic. They also record what they still Wonder or want to know about the topic.
