Description and Purpose
RSQC2 (Recall, Summarize, Question, Connect, and Comment) provides a structure that encourages students to rehearse, organize, and evaluate information from a lecture and to comprehensively assess how it applies to the overall foundation of the course. In this adaptation of Angelo and Cross's (1993) classroom assessment technique, students do the following:
- R. Recall key points from the lecture.
- S. Summarize the lecture's main purpose in a single sentence.
- Q. Ask an unanswered question they have about the lecture material.
- C. Connect the lecture material to the goals of the course. ...
