11. Project Closure: That’s a wrap

After a successful launch, there are post-project tasks that solidify the relationship with the client and the lessons learned throughout the project. With a few key activities, your team can move from delivery mode to relationship mode.

In this chapter, we’ll discuss

• Internal assessment

• Client closure

• Long walks on the beach (or, taking care of yourself)

Projects have specific end dates, but relationships with clients don’t. The steps you take after launch day are done not only to finish the project responsibly, but also to nurture the relationship you’ve built with the client. And like every other step along the way, thinking, planning, analyzing, and communicating are required.
