Chapter 5: Using Character Parameters
Introduction
Parameters, a special type of data item that can be created by the designer and modified by the viewer, are an easy way to put control of the report into the hands of the viewer. Parameters enable viewers to change their view of the report depending on their needs. In the previous chapter, you explored the process of creating and applying numeric parameters to make your reports more dynamic. In this chapter, you see how to create, populate, apply, and test character parameters.
