11 Media Control
MHP and OCAP applications will often want to control the video the receiver is showing. In this chapter, we introduce the Java Media Framework (JMF) and look at how we can control what the user sees and hears. We will see how we can show various video streams, and how we can resize, clip, and position that video on the screen.
One of the most important functions of a DTV receiver is decoding and controlling broadcast video and other multimedia content. Both MHP and OCAP adopted Sun’s JMF for this task.
