Susan C. Baker is a senior research fellow with The University of Queensland. She is a social-developmental psychologist focusing on language and intergroup communication. Her publications are in the area of acculturation, second language learning, communication accommodation, intercultural relations, and doctor-patient communication.

John Baldwin received his doctorate from Arizona State University in 1994 and has been at Illinois State University since that time. He is a professor of culture and communication, teaching also in areas such as communication theory and qualitative research methods.
