Web sites, blogs, e-mail, and instant messaging showcase the text side of the Internet, and most Web surfing excursions require quite a bit of reading. However, the Internet has plenty of non-text treats to stimulate your senses.

For your ears, you can download music, subscribe to podcasts, tune in to Internet-based radio stations, and listen to streaming audio.

For your eyes, you can flip through the photos that people are sharing, view streaming video, check out what everyone's watching on the YouTube site, and learn more about a place by using online maps and satellite images.
