10Camera Operating

Good camera operating is clearly visible in the finished film. Most, although unfortunately not all, poorly operated shots lie on the cutting-room floor. Camera operating requires intuitive skills of anticipating action, understanding the psychology of movement and knowledge of the practical and technical aspects of moving the camera. There are now fewer dedicated camera operators, so it is increasingly important for all cinematographers to have good operating skills.
