The Digital Game Industry

If you’re taking the time to read this book and learn about prototyping games, it’s probably safe to assume that you might have some interest in joining the game industry.

In this chapter I present a little information about the current state of the industry and then talk a bit about university games education programs. I give you some tips on meeting people, networking, and looking for work. Finally, I tell you about how to prepare for your own projects.
