I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Introduction
The idea for this book took hold many years ago. Like a lot of good ideas it occurred to several people in different parts of the country at about the same time. Many of these people were tutors and lecturers on the City and Guilds Media Techniques Certificate: Journalism and Radio. This course, which has recently been revised and upgraded to become The City and Guilds Diploma in Media Techniques, had already been running for many years across the UK, the Irish Republic and overseas and provides an excellent grounding in journalism and media production.
