Configuring IntelliJ IDEA

When IntelliJ IDEA starts for the very first time, it asks you about the settings you might have from the previous IDE version:

Since it is your first IntelliJ IDEA installation, click Do not import settings.

The next screen or two also show only once  at the first launch of the newly installed IDE. They will ask whether you accept the JetBrains privacy policy, and whether you would like to pay for the license or prefer to continue using the free Community Edition or free trial (this depends on the particular download you get).
