4 Project Initiation Processes
The Project Management Lifecycle begins with Project Initiation. This chapter covers the processes required to get a project initiated and put on track. There are a number of processes, with or without the involvement of the project manager, that are used to determine if a project will be initiated or not. But the two vital processes in project initiation are the Development of the Project Charter and the Identification of Stakeholders for the project. The first part of this chapter deals with the development of the project charter, while the second part of this chapter focuses on the identification of project stakeholders.
