In recent years, the Project Management Institute (PMI) introduced Project Resource Management in place of Project Human Resource Management as one of the Project Management Knowledge Areas. But Project Human Resource Management remains a subset of Project Resource Management. This chapter therefore discusses the planning of both human resources and material resources for a project.
