Chapter Overview

At this point, we have covered most of the data science methods, including statistical approaches and machine learning techniques. We also covered supervised and unsupervised models.

In this concluding chapter, we are getting closer to the end of the analytical life cycle. Remember in Chapter 1 when we first introduced the analytical life cycle: the problem definition phase, data preparation, model training, model assessment, and deployment. Now it is time to evaluate the model’s results and select the champion model that we are going to put in production to support a business action.
