This chapter describes the implementation process. We start by discussing design completion criteria, implementation standards, implementation strategies, and reviews and inspections. Then we follow the steps of the IMP1 and IMPn scripts to describe the TSPi implementation process.

8.1 Design Completion Criteria

Before starting implementation, check to see whether you have truly completed the high-level design. For large systems, high-level design often requires several stages. At the first level, you subdivide the system into subsystems, components, or modules. While doing this, you should follow the DES1 or DESn process steps described in Chapter 7.
