19 Process Quality

This chapter describes process quality and some measures you can use to evaluate the quality of your software work. It also shows how to calculate and track these measures. For the exercise, you will calculate one of these measures for the programs you have developed in this semester and plot a graph to show how this measure has changed.

19.1 Process Measures

The quality of your programs is determined by the quality of your process. The quality of your process, in turn, is determined by the way you work. Thus, to develop better programs, you need to change the way you work. To do this most efficiently, you need to know how good your process is.
