5 Culturally Responsive and Strengths-Focused Evaluation Practice Adventures

This chapter briefly summarizes several evaluation practice adventures. It is intended to illustrate ways the three steps of theory-driven program evaluation can be implemented in practice:

  1. developing program impact theory;
  2. formulating and prioritizing evaluation questions; and
  3. answering evaluation questions.

I will illustrate that while the three basic steps are typically useful as a general framework, they must often be adapted to meet the needs, expectations, and contexts you encounter in evaluation practice.
