10. The Real-Time Clock and the DS3231

In this chapter, we will continue our investigation into creating a very useful program, that of the Real-Time Clock. In Chapter 9, we looked at simply using the secondary oscillator to drive a 24-hour clock display. We wrote two programs, one for a simple LCD display and the other for a module with four seven-segment displays. In this chapter, we will look at using an external module that can be attached to the PIC32.
