Chapter 12

Basic Operational Amplifier Topologies and a Case Study

Abstract

The basic operational amplifier (op-amp) is discussed from a topological point of view. A step-by-step case study illustrates the basic building blocks in a monolithic op-amp. Some of the real-world limitations of op-amps have also been considered.
