Preface

DURING MY PROFESSIONAL CAREER I HAVE HAD THE GOOD FORtune to represent, first as a lawyer and since 1996 as a consultant, many entrepreneurs and family businesspeople. Those two areas fascinated me and became the focus of much of my research, writing, and lecturing. The combined effort has been extensive to say the least.

Example: For my previous book, Entrepreneurs Are Made Not Born, I interviewed nearly 300 entrepreneurs and family business-people. It has been published in eight languages.
