I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
15. Investing/Trading as a Career
Over the years I've worked in a wide variety of jobs—lawyer, CPA, CEO, janitor, ice cream vendor, lawn mower salesman, pizza maker, busboy. But nothing I've ever done has been as interesting and enjoyable as investing in the stock market. Initially, the main appeal of being a professional investor was simply the flexibility and freedom it gave me.
Just being my own boss gave me great satisfaction, but what really made a big difference was that I enjoyed the work so much. It quickly became clear that being an investor was the right fit for me.
