analysis paralysisBecoming so overwhelmed with researching details that you become confused and incapable of taking action. There is a similar condition I call timing torpidity, in which you are so involved in trying to time the exact turning point in the market that you lose perspective and end up doing little.
averaging downAdding to an existing position at a price below what you had paid previously. Quite often this is done in an emotional manner rather than as part of a systematic plan and should be avoided.
