In Chapter 9, we talked about the basics of SCEP and the workflow to use with SCEP, as well as the whats and whys of SCEP. In this chapter, we’ll look at implementing SCEP and the associated workflow in OS X Server. Like the rest of the book, this isn’t going to be a “step one, do this, step two, do that” kind of chapter. Rather, we’ll examine some of the issues involved, explore ways to handle the problems that tend to crop up, and check out some of the implementations of SCEP available for OS X Server.
