To use Xcode to create an app, you need to create an Xcode project. An Xcode project includes all the files, resources, and information required to build your application. It's your partner in creating your application, and the sooner you make friends with it, the easier your life will become.

In this chapter, I show you how to create an Xcode project and then build and run your app in the Simulator.

Creating Your Project

Because developing an iPhone and/or an iPad app requires you to work in an Xcode project, it’s time to create one.
