Piu is an object-oriented user interface framework that simplifies the process of creating sophisticated user interfaces. It uses the Poco renderer to draw. This chapter provides an overview of how Piu works and introduces some of its major capabilities through a series of examples. The name Piu means “more” in classical music and reflects the remarkably rich set of capabilities that Piu builds on Poco.
