For iOS, we begin the same way as we did with Android, with an empty project. We name our app iOSiTagPersonalTracker and get started with project creation as described in Chapter 3, Building a Service Explorer App.

To run on an actual device, you will need to create an Apple ID and generate a signing certificate associated with that ID. You can find the complete process at http://blog.ionic.io/deploying-to-a-device-without-an-apple-developer-account/.

To keep you focused on core concepts, we will keep our iOS app as simple as possible:
