In this final chapter on trust, we examine further some of the trust issues that have sprung up lately and why they have proven to be so toxic. We will see why businesses give us products and services for free and how we have become to expect this online. Further we will also see the self-destructive nature of the security industry as analysts strive to be the first to hack new and popular devices – sometimes rendering them irreparably damaged in the eyes of the consumer.
