It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6. IPv6 Multicast Networks
This chapter begins by covering the fundamentals of IPv6 and why there is such a great need for it today. It explains IPv6 multicast group addressing, along with the concept of scoping and IPv6 multicast group address assignments. You also learn how IPv6 multicast addresses are mapped to MAC addresses. We discuss the Layer 2 and Layer 3 multicast environment, how subscriptions to multicast streams are controlled, how IPv6 multicast messages are routed across the network, and the different options for configuring a rendezvous point. Included in this chapter are many configuration examples to get you started on the road to implementing IPv6 multicast.
