I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
8.5. Internet SCSI
FCIP sits at one end of the IP storage spectrum, having the least IP content and the greatest Fibre Channel focus. From the standpoint of IP-based SANs, FCIP is really not so much of an IP storage strategy as a Fibre Channel exten sion and perpetuation strategy. The iSCSI protocol is the polar opposite of FCIP, having the most IP content and no Fibre Channel element at all. Rather than a migration vehicle from Fibre Channel SANs to IP SANs, iSCSI represents a light switch approach to storage networking that, carried to its logical conclusion, purges Fibre Channel from the notion of SANs.
