Appendix F. Configuring Cisco IP Communicator
Cisco IP Communicator is a software application that provides the same functionality as a physical Cisco IP Phone. Many people also refer to this technology as a SoftPhone. The Cisco IP Communicator software is configured and managed using a CallManager server or CallManager Express router. The Cisco IP Communicator phone is configured on the CallManager Express router in the same manner as a physical IP Phone.
