Chapter 5. Create Stop-Motion and Time-Lapse Movies
Most of this book is about live-action movies, where you record events in real time and edit them together. But that’s just one type of video you can create. Since a movie is just a series of single frames played sequentially, you can string together individual shots to make stop-motion animations. The Wallace and Grommet shorts (or the Shaun the Sheep spinoff TV series) and movies such as Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Nightmare Before Christmas (to name some favorites) are all examples of stop-motion animation.
