As you see in the preceding chapter, the iPhone’s diminutive but powerful cameras can shoot video as well as photos. In this chapter, you learn to put your iPhone’s video capabilities to use. You also find out where to find videos to play on the iPhone and how to watch them either on the iPhone itself or on a TV to which you connect the iPhone.

Shooting Video

This section shows you how to shoot video using the iPhone’s cameras. If you’re taking a selfie video, you’ll likely want to use the front camera; for just about anything else, the rear camera is clearly better.

Start by opening the Camera app and switching to video mode in one of these ways:

  • Home screen (way 1): Tap the Camera app icon, and then tap Video on the camera mode bar.
  • Home screen (way 2): Long-press the Camera app icon, and then tap Video on the pop-up menu.
