Conventions Used in This Book

This book uses certain conventions to help you find your way around, including

arrow Text you type is shown in bold. Figure references, such as “see Figure 1-1,” are also in bold, to help you find them.

arrow Whenever I mention a website address, or URL, I put it in a different font, like this.

arrow Figure callouts draw your attention to actions you need to perform. In some cases, points of interest in a figure may be indicated. The text tells you what to look for; the callout line makes it easy to find.

arrow When I tell you to follow a series of actions, I string them together with arrows, like this: Settings⇒General⇒Device, which means to tap Settings, tap General, and then tap Device.

tip Tip icons point out insights or helpful suggestions related to tasks in the step lists.
