So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Burning Basics
Burning photos involves selecting what you want to burn, then telling iPhoto to light a match.
Step 1. Select items to burn.
Remember that you can also select multiple items by Shift-clicking or 
-clicking each one (page 43).
You can’t burn projects, such as books, calendars, or greeting cards, to disc.
Step 2. Choose Burn from the Share menu.
iPhoto asks you to insert a blank disc.
