Chapter 11. Advanced iPodding
Now that you’ve learned all the basics needed to have fun with iTunes and your iPod, you may be ready to move up a level on your path to iPod Guru. As you’ve seen, the iPod and iTunes experience lets you listen to your music the way you want to, but you don’t have to stop there. Why not find cool new programs that let you do all sorts of other things with your iPod? Or find ways to broaden your playlist horizons? Or even make your own podcast?
This chapter kicks it up a notch and gives you some ideas of what else you can do with iTunes and the iPod besides just watching and listening.
Cool Software for Even More iPod Fun
There’s something about the iPod that inspires creativity on many levels. Plenty of software developers have risen to the challenge of making programs that make the iPod even more useful. Once of the best resources is the iPod software area of the iLounge Web site at http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod-software, where you can find all sorts of Podware.
Other spots around the Web you may want to check out include:
Talking Panda Software. Want to learn how to speak traveler’s French, teach yourself guitar chords, or store a reference library of 1,000 drink recipes—all on your iPod? Check out Talking Panda’s stable of inexpensive iPod programs, specifically iLingo, iRocker, and iBar (http://www.talkingpanda.com).
