Chapter 6. IPv6 Configuration
The previous chapters covered the different types of IPv6 addresses such as global unicast and link-local addresses. Neighbor Discovery Protocol and the different types of messages associated with address resolution, Duplicate Address Detection (DAD), and Stateless Address Autoconfiguration (SLAAC) were explored. IPv6 is much more than just a longer IP address. The information that has been discussed in earlier chapters is important to understand the processes and protocols associated with implementing an IPv6 network. However, sometimes in the mist of all this new information, it’s possible to lose sight of the basic commands necessary to configure IPv6. So, now it’s time to accomplish just that.
