Certification
Despite publishing the ISO 22301:2019 standard, ISO is not responsible for certification. Instead, local certification bodies are accredited by national accreditation bodies to evaluate conformance and issue certificates.
In the UK, accredited certification schemes are managed by UKAS. In the US, the equivalent body is ANAB. However, it is important to note that there is no legal requirement for a certification body to be accredited. This creates a two-tier system of certification: those issued by accredited certification bodies and those issued by unaccredited certification bodies.
