This is one of the shortest but, in many respects, the most important chapter. It is about how top and other senior management are involved with the ABMS.
Since ISO 37001 is a PDCA-based management system, the concepts of management responsibility are embedded and are very similar to those of ISO 9001. There are a few differences, however, and this chapter will explain the ISO 37001 concepts.

In ISO 37001, the chief role of top management is to conduct the management review of the ABMS (clause 5.3). They set the tone of the whole ABMS. The top manager may be an individual or a collective of senior management.
