CHAPTER 7: THIRD-PARTY ASSESSMENT

This final chapter considers the pros and cons of third-party certification to ISO 50001. Remember that while the certification body (CB) cannot provide consultancy, it can give feedback on how the transition process is progressing and, for an extra fee, provide a gap analysis audit to advise how close your organisation’s EnMS is to meeting ISO 50001 requirements. However, this is something an organisation can often do itself by asking the right questions internally.
