Gathering Information and Getting Organized

These are the reference materials that you and your staff have prepared that contain important information to include in your presentation:

  • Project purpose statement: A one- or two-sentence statement that defines what you intend to accomplish (automation) and why (your success measure).

  • High-level expectations: Define the level of automation that is realistic for each component in your environment.

  • List of infrastructure components, with problem and opportunity statements, and automation requirements: Defines success on a component-by-component basis. Answers the questions "What problems are we going to solve?" and "What opportunities will we exploit?"
