As you implement the Security Process Management (SPM) Framework, selecting metrics and launching security measurement projects, you will accumulate data—the raw material of the framework. It may come from familiar sources and repositories that are regular sources of security data, or it may come from new sources as different data are needed to answer emergent questions that have developed in support of your goals.
