The domain model describes business processes on the one hand and fundamental data structures (classes) on the other.

Class model

Experience tells us that a well-designed class model is very stable and, up to a certain point, is able to withstand changes made to business processes. You use one class model as the basis for multiple IT systems, which generally perform similar tasks but support different workflows and use different operating concepts. The class model is the “backbone” of this book and is therefore given a considerable amount of attention.
